AI-drafted responses that are reviewed and personalised by a human agent don't read as AI-generated — because they aren't purely AI-generated. The agent edits the draft, adds the specific details relevant to that customer, adjusts the tone based on the customer's mood, and sends it under their own judgment. What customers notice is response quality and speed — both of which improve with AI-assisted drafting. What they don't notice is whether the first draft was written by a human or an AI, provided the human reviewed and personalised it before it left the system.
Customer data handling is covered explicitly in the programme, because this is a genuine and important concern for service teams. The training covers: what types of customer information can be included in AI prompts under standard data handling policies, how to use anonymised or generalised versions when building and testing templates, and the difference between building a template (where you use anonymised examples) and using a template in production (where the agent is responsible for what specific data goes in). Claude Cowork doesn't need to integrate with your CRM to deliver value. The workflow is typically: the agent looks up the relevant customer history in the CRM, copies the relevant context into a Claude prompt template, and receives a first-draft response back. It's a parallel workflow, not an integrated one. For teams that want tighter integration — pulling context directly from the CRM into the prompt — that requires a more technical setup, which we can advise on separately. For most service teams, the copy-paste workflow delivers significant time savings without any technical integration, and is the right place to start before investing in deeper automation.
In our experience, most agents are comfortable using the response drafting template by the end of the training day, and using it confidently within 2–3 days of applying it to real tickets. The learning curve is short because the workflow is straightforward: paste in the enquiry and context, review the output, personalise and send. The main adjustment is psychological — getting comfortable with the idea that a good first draft from AI is still your response once you've reviewed and approved it.
